Dead in 5

Motor City rock still has its hard and honed edge that was pioneered by the likes of the MC5, The Amboy Dukes, Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, Iggy and the Stooges and Grand Funk Railroad.  Born of this powerful legacy are melodic hard rockers Dead in 5.  This fierce five-piece performs with a raw energy and hunger that can neither be bought nor faked.  You either have “It” or you don’t.  And Dead in 5 has “It” in spades.

There’s no corporate sheen marring the honest, and downright dirty rock n’ roll played by Dead in 5.  The band grinds out intense musical gems with as much super-charged muscle as a new Mustang rolling off the assembly line. Turn the key, and FLOOR IT!  Dead in 5’s music is not just an assertion – it’s an absolute DECLARATION of the POWER of Rock and Roll!

Evoking a sonic mash up of Soundgarden, Anthrax, White Zombie and Led Zeppelin, the band’s dirty outlaw rock will make you raise your fists in salute to their musical juggernaut.  It’s “Sons of Anarchy” meets “Fight Club” set in the post apocalyptic “Mad Max” environment of Detroit Rock City.

Since their debut show inside one of Detroit’s most notorious biker clubhouses in January 2013, Dead in 5 has become an in-demand live act headlining Metro Detroit’s top venues and festivals, in addition to support slots for national acts AnthraxFive Finger Death Punch, Godsmack, Sevendust, Pop Evil, and Texas Hippie Coalition.

Dead in 5 has released 4 discs –including their self-titled debut EP, Schizophrenic Razor Project (2016), Die Another Day (2018) and a Wreck Your World  (2013).  The latter disc saw 7 of its 11 tracks featured in the cult film “Pro-Wrestlers Vs. Zombies” (Troma Entertainment) starring WWE wrestling legends “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Matt Hardy, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Kurt Angle and Shane “The Franchise” Douglas.

Now with the release of a new 7-song EP “Automatic Death Machine,” produced, and mixed by Nick Morris (Black Dahlia Murder) at The Pipeyard Studio in Canton, Michigan , Dead in 5 is poised to kick down doors and penetrate ears with their undeniable Detroit fury.
